Terms of Service
Effective 7 September 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Validate Plugin ("we", "us") for the use of Validate Plugin (the "Service"). By creating an account you accept them.
1. The Service
The Service checks phone numbers submitted through your web forms and reports whether they appear to be valid. It is provided as a hosted service over the internet, accessed through a snippet you install on your own site or through our API.
2. Your account
- You must give accurate registration details and keep them current.
- You are responsible for everything done with your API key. Treat it as a credential: do not publish it, and regenerate it from your settings if it is exposed.
- You may only use the Service on domains you own or are authorised to operate.
- One account is for one business. Reselling access, or sharing a key across unrelated businesses, requires our written agreement.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to validate numbers you have no lawful reason to hold, including purchased or scraped lists.
- Use it to support unsolicited calling or messaging that breaks the law where you or the recipient are.
- Attempt to circumvent your plan's limits, or automate the Service in a way that degrades it for others.
- Reverse engineer, resell or rebrand the Service without our written agreement.
We may suspend an account that is doing any of these. Where the breach is not deliberate we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
4. Plans, validations and payment
- Each plan includes a monthly allowance of validations and a number of authorised domains. The current allowances and prices are on the pricing page.
- Your allowance resets on your monthly billing date. Unused validations do not roll over.
- When your allowance is used up, validation stops until you top up or your allowance resets. Your forms keep working; numbers simply stop being checked.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Fees are exclusive of any tax we are required to collect.
- A failed payment may lead to suspension. We will attempt to reach you before that happens.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for — the Service keeps running until then, and you are not charged again. We do not refund part-used months, except where the law requires it or where the Service failed in a way we accept responsibility for.
We may end this agreement with 30 days' notice, and will refund any unused prepaid period if we do.
6. Accuracy — please read this one
Phone validation is a judgement made from third-party carrier data, and that data is neither complete nor always current. Recently issued, recently ported and some business numbers can be reported incorrectly.
The Service will sometimes mark a real number as invalid, and will sometimes let an unusable number through. It is a filter, not a guarantee. You should not use it as the only check where a wrong answer would cause real harm — refusing a genuine customer, blocking an emergency contact, or making a decision about someone that is hard to reverse. How you act on our answer is your decision and your responsibility.
7. Availability
We work to keep the Service available and will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. We do not commit to a specific uptime percentage, and the Service depends on third-party validation providers whose availability is not ours to control.
8. Your data
Your account data and configuration remain yours. What we collect and who processes it is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to send us the numbers your forms collect, and for telling your visitors that they are checked by a third-party service.
9. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Support
The support included with your plan is described on the support page. Response targets are targets, not contractual guarantees, and are measured in business days.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will email account holders at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you do not, you may cancel.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and disputes will be heard by the courts there.
